Martin specializes in corporate (including trusts and foundations), finance, M&A and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining CERHA HEMPEL Martin gained in-depth knowledge and more than six years of experience while working at one of the leading CEE law firms and a renowned private client boutique law firm in Vienna. Prior to working with law firms, Martin worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Vienna's Department of Tax Law. Martin also holds several board functions in companies and is author of numerous publications. Martin's expertise extends to overseeing significant complex cross-border transactions. Martin has advised a number of large corporate clients, Martin also possesses an in-depth understanding of various other legal domains, including Private Foundation Law, Banking & Finance, and Family Law.

  • RHI Magnesita GmbH ("RHI Magnesita") in connection with the acquisition of shareholdings in several Seven Refractories subsidiaries operating in Europe, India and US for an enterprise value consideration of approx. EUR 125 million.
  • AIK Banka a.d., Gorenjska Banka d.d. and Agri Europe Cyprus Limited as purchasers, after having arisen as preferred and winning bidders in an international structured bidding process, on the acquisition of Sberbank Europe AG’s shares in Sberbank Srbija d.d. (Serbia), Sberbank Banka d.d. (Slovenia), Sberbank BH d.d. Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Sberbank a.d. Banja Luka (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Sberbank d.d. (Croatia) and Sberbank Magyarország Zrt. (Hungary).
  • Wien Holding GmbH under Austrian laws as a major shareholder of Vienna Intl Airport in connection with a voluntary public takeover offer with respect to an intended acquisition of up to ~10% of Vienna Intl Airport's share capital made by another major shareholder of Vienna Intl Airport.
  • NC Management GmbH and NC Growth Fund I GmbH & Co KG in connection with a EUR 12 million series B funding in pimcore.
