Sankofa $500 million gas field project

Overview:

• The Sankofa Gas Project in Ghana has received a $700 million loan from the World Bank Multilateral Investment Agency (MIGA).
• $500 million were provided through an IDA payment and the remaining $200 million through an IBRD enclave loan.
• $360 million will go toward construction of a gas turbine power plant by Amandi Energy.
