Overview:

• Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) Clean Fuels Project.
• The project involves the refurbishment of the Mina Al Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) oil refineries.
• The project will increase the combined capacity to 800,000 barrels per day, and will lower the sulphur content of petroleum products to 5%.
• The project will also see the Shuaiba refinery shut down once a new refinery complex has been constructed.
• The lead arrangers of the financing were National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Kuwait Finance House.
