Overview:

  • Sabine Pass LNG train five project.
  • Project developer Cheniere Partners has obtained $4.6 billion in project financing in connection to the Sabine Pass LNG terminal.
  • The proceeds will be used to construct the fifth train that will serve the facility. 
  • The terminal is eventually expected to operate six trains in total. 
  • The financing included $2.85 billion of debt facilities from a syndicate of banks, $600 million of debt facilities from the Export-Import Bank of Korea, $400 million of debt facilities from a syndicate of Korea-based banks and another $750 million from a syndicate of Korea-based commercial banks. 
  • Train five is expected to begin operations in 2015. 
  • Sabine Pass is located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
