Robert Bachner

Biography Robert Bachner is a partner in Schoenherr’s corporate / m&a practice. Robert specialises in m&a transactions and projects in Austria and CEE with a particular focus on finance-related projects (including project finance and PPP projects). After graduating from the University of Vienna (Dr. iur., 1998, Mag. iur., 1994), Robert also gained international experience through a post-graduate degree in corporate law at New York University (LLM., 1999), his admission to the New York bar, and his subsequent work as a regular associate at one of the leading New York based international law firms.

• Advised Palfinger AG, a leading provider of innovative crane and lifting solutions, on the reversal of the cross-shareholding with the SANY Group, a Chinese equipment manufacturing group;
• Advised the RegTech start-up 360kompany AG and its shareholders on the sale to Moody’s Corporation, on what is purported to be one of the biggest exits in Austria's start-up scene to date;
• Twisto FinCo s.r.o. and Twisto payments a.s. on debt (re)financings with an approximate quantum, comprising a senior stream provided by J&T Banka and a mezzanine stream provided jointly by Orbit Capital and Growth Finance.
