Alexander Popp

Alexander Popp is a partner at Schoenherr specialising in m&a. Alexander assists clients active in the energy, insurance and telecoms industries, advising them in particular on m&a projects and foreign direct investments in CEE. Alexander has been active in CEE for 20 years and has substantially contributed to the development of the Schoenherr network in the region. He graduated from the New York University (LL.M., 2002) and University of Vienna (Dr. iur., 2000, Mag. iur., 1998).

• Advised Liechtenstein Group on a EUR 40m investment in Tesvolt GmbH, a technology leader for energy storage in the commercial and industrial sector;
• Advised BUFAB AB on the acquisition of Jenny I Waltle GmbH, a leading distributor and sub-assembly provider of aluminium profile-products and other C-class components, from the founders Jenny and Waltle;
• Advised Lallemand on the acquisition of Bayer CropScience Biologics GmbH and the Bayer Group's microbial biologics business from Bayer Group.
