Peter has been a Partner at CERHA HEMPEL since 2005 and leads our banking, insurance supervision and capital markets regulatory practice. He trains bank managers and employees, supervisory board members of Austrian licenced and stock exchange operating companies on fitness and propriety issues. He advises Austrian licenced banks (Sis and LSIs), investment firms, insurances, corporate issuers, fund management companies and stock exchange operating companies on compliance and regulatory law queries and was involved in the establishment of the first bad bank in Austria.

  • Advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the conversion of an indirect participation into a direct participation in the listed Addiko Bank AG. 
  • Advised the Vienna Bar Association on an investment of EUR 140 million for pension fund purposes into a special fund set up by Spängler IQAM GmbH for managing the assets in three compartments.
  • Advised nextbike GmbH on a placement by way of a swap offer of EUR 20 million senior secured bonds due 2025 placed in Austria to institutional investors. 
  • Advised Commerzbank AG (Vienna branch) on updates of various loan agreements and security documents that are the basis for Commerzbank standard loan agreement with corporate customers in Austria.
  • Advised White Oak Global Advisors on the distribution, the marketing and supervisory legal requirements as well as the tax treatment of a placement of units in a Luxemburg Feeder AiF for a Luxemburg Master Credit AiF.
