Nicholas Okafor

Nicholas is head of the firm’s Energy (Electric Power) Practice, and a partner in its Banking, Projects and Infrastructure teams. He advises local and foreign clients on projects relating to the development of greenfield projects such as power plants, pipelines, toll roads and the construction of central gas processing facilities.

• Advised Solius NGDC Nigeria Limited in connection with the greenfield project development of a 100MW Solar Power Plant in Abaji, Federal Capital Territory - Abuja, Nigeria.
• Advised the joint venture company owned by General Electric Co. and Geometric Power Limited, in connection with the greenfield development, design, construction, financing, commis-sioning and operation and maintenance of a 500MW Greenfield power plant in Abia State, Nigeria.
• Advising the Daniel Power Consortium, represented by Daniel Power Plants Limited  in connection with raising USD $532 million acquisition finance both in debts & equity for the acquisition of 80% equity interest in Ogorode Power Generation Company Limited.
• Asharami Synergy Plc advised the Sahara Energy Group on the consolidation of its 9 companies. 
• Advising the IFC on its first-ever public sector loan to a sub-sovereign state government in West Africa.
