Dr. Belo-Osagien is now Of Counsel. She has advised a wide variety of local and international clients on matters involving corporate restructuring, acquisitions, foreign investment matters, telecommunications regulation, oil and gas investment and financing matters and infrastructure projects. She assisted with the drafting of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority Act 2011.   She was recently elected as an International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The firm has associates from all over Nigeria and an equal number of male and female partners.  Currently the firm has more female than male associates. In support of gender diversity, the firm implements policies that support female employees, such as a 6-month paid maternity leave (100% more than the statutory requirement). There is a staffed creche / playroom on the premises.  In addition to memberships in various professional associations the firm sponsors the attendance and participation of female members of staff in professional associations and events tailored to women - such as "Women in Private Equity (PEWIN)" and "Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ).

  • Advised a Canadian-Ied Consortium looking into the possibility of developing a pipeline project to transport freshwater from various West African States to the Sahel;
  • Advised the co-arrangers on the structuring of a =N= 19 billion Syndicated Underwritten Note Issuance Facility granted to MTN Nigeria Communications Limited;
  • Advised NEPA on the establishment by Enron of a 270mw barge-mounted power project at Egbin in Lagos State;
  • Advised on the proposed establishment of an independent power project in Bonny, Rivers State by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited;
  • Advised an Australian investor in connection with a gold-mining project in Iperindodo, Ijesha, Ogun State.
