Overview:

  • Telecoms company Česká telekomunikační infrastruktura (CETIN) secured CZK32.2 billion in bank financing in what was the largest loan agreement signed in the Czech Republic in 2015.
  • Controlled by Czech investor PPF, CETIN is a spin-off of the infrastructure business of O2 Czech Republic. 
  • PPF is borrowing through CETIN to repay loans its used to purchase of O2 Czech Republic shares from Telefonica Group in 2014
  • Banca IMI, BNP Paribas Fortis, Československá obchodní banka, ING Bank, Komerční banka, Société Générale, and UniCredit Bank arranged the CETIN financing.
