Zakho 1260MW IPP

Overview:

• Zakho 1260MW IPP.
• The project is a natural gas fired power plant developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis.
• It is located at FayshKhabur near Zakho in Kurdistan.
• The project is to be constructed in three phases (i) 560MW 2x280MW open-cycle gas turbines; (ii) 280MW 1x280MW open-cycle gas turbine; and (iii) 420MW 3xHRSGs + 1x420MW steam turbine.
• The project also includes the construction of a substation and power lines completing the 400kV Northern Iraqi electricity grid.
• The project includes a power purchase agreement (PPA) entered into with the Kurdistan Government and the Ministry of Electricity.
