Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM: Today, VILAF announced the election of its new executive management. VILAF partners, Vo Ha Duyen and Nguyen Truc Hien, have been elected as new Chairperson of VILAF and as new Managing Partner of VILAF’s Ho Chi Minh City Office, respectively.
Ms Duyen succeeds Ngo Thanh Tung to serve as the firm’s new Chairperson and will oversee the firm’s business development, client relationship, lawyers’ development, business and marketing strategies. Ms Hien succeeds Ms Duyen to serve as Managing Partner of VILAF’s Ho Chi Minh City Office.
“In line with VILAF’s long term strategic plan, this is a positive change and a new chapter for VILAF’s growth as fresh energy and ambition will be brought in by the new management,” said Ngo Thanh Tung, the firm’s former Chairman.
Ms Duyen specializes in Corporate/M&A, Finance, Capital Markets, Energy, Infrastructure and Real estate. She is admitted to practice laws in both Vietnam and New York and has been consistently recognized as a leading lawyer in Vietnam by prestigious international legal guides. Ms Duyen’s recent notable transactions include advising KKR in the acquisition of shares in Masan Consumer valued at USD350 million, issuers in Singapore international bond listing transactions, Mondelez in the USD370 million acquisition of Kinh Do Corporation, lenders in the financing of Phu My 2.2. and Vung Ang II BOT power projects, and Sumitomo Corporation in relation to Vietnam’s first Metro Line Project in Ho Chi Minh City.
