Clyde & Co has brought in Kennedys’ aviation team made up of aviation expert David Johnston and three attorneys.

Johnston’s credentials in aviation liability, insurance and regulatory matters as well as commercial disputes has landed him high profile instructions in many major air disasters. The latest notably from Malaysian Airlines concerning its recent MH370 and MH17 crashes.

Johnston left Kennedys in mid-July, after joining in May 2013 when the firm merged with aviation boutique outfit Gates & Partners - he joins Clyde & Co as of counsel.

In 2005, Clyde & Co expanded its specialised insurance offering by merging with aviation boutique firm Beaumont and Son, gaining 17 partners in the process.
