Global law firm DLA Piper has hired a Singapore-based infrastructure and structured finance partner to lead its Indonesia practice.

Michael Horn joins the firm from Clyde & Co and will work closely with DLA Piper’s associate firm, Ivan Almaida Baely & Firmansyah Law Firm (IAB&F).

Horn has more than two decades’ experience working in Asia-Pacific, and is particularly focused on infrastructure transactions in Indonesia. His projects spread across finance, trade, development and commodities, where he acts for developers, governments, borrowers, bond issuers, lenders and credit enhancers.

Terry O'Malley, chair of DLA Piper’s Asia committee, said: “Indonesia will continue to be a key market for DLA Piper in Southeast Asia, and for our global firm. We have a global strategic focus on G20 nations, and Michael's appointment as an Indonesia specialist is a key part of our strategy.”

In January this year, the firm’s Singapore office added three new partners to its corporate team in Singapore. John Viverito and Myles Hankin joined the firm from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, and Joseph Bauerschmidt joined from Jones Day.
