Weibo Jiang’s practice focuses on a broad range of corporate and financial matters.

Weibo first joined us in 1992 as a partner. He then joined the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton as a foreign lawyer in 1995 and worked there for one year. He passed the New York State Bar Examination in 1999 and later worked as an American and International lawyer in Cleary’s Hong Kong office. Weibo returned to Haiwen in 2001.

Weibo has been repeatedly recognized as a leading Chinese law experts by Chambers & Partners, Asian Law & Practice, IFLR1000 and Legal 500, etc.

Weibo has extensive experience representing strategic and private equity clients in public and private mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures in a variety of industries. He also advises boards of directors, special committees, and senior managements in connection with the post-closing integrations and operations, and other complex situations concerning corporate and securities law. In the field of securities offerings, Weibo has represented issuers and underwriters in dozens of public offerings and listings in mainland China, the United States and Hong Kong.

Weibo obtained his LL.B. degree from Northwest Institute of Political Science and Law in 1987, and his LL.M. degree from Peking University in 1992. In addition, He obtained his LL.M. degree in 1997 and J.D. degree in 1999 from Duke University School of Law.
