Since 2003, Tove has been working with advice on environmental and energy law. The work covers everything from large-scale environmental permit processes in different industries to environmental and energy law in transactions.
Tove’s main area of expertise is environmental permit processes, and she is often engaged as lead counsel within a range of industry sectors. The energy sector is one of her top niches and for many years she has worked with several of the leading companies in the wind power industry. The rock materials industry as well as the waste industry have also been in focus for a long time. In addition, the food sector has over the years become a growing segment for Tove.
Further, Tove regularly assists in water trials, matters concerning various forms of environmental supervision, the handling of excavated masses, grid connections and species protection issues. The rapid development of major solar power plants and energy gases, not least hydrogen, also gives rise to regulatory issues that Tove advises on.
Different forms of environmental responsibility, as well as environmental and energy law in contract negotiations and transactions—often involving international companies—are a central part of Tove’s practice.
Tove also has special knowledge of insolvency-related environmental law within the mining industry and of liability issues concerning natural disasters.
In May 2023, Tove received the Wind Power Award 2023 from the Swedish Wind Power Association for meritorious efforts in the industry.
