Roy is a leading practitioner in banking and finance and corporate law. He regularly represents banks, institutional investors and private equity funds in acquisition finance, commercial loans, restructurings and other finance transactions. Roy’s work includes representation of both lenders and borrowers and he has developed substantial expertise in cross-border transactions.

Roy also has significant business experience in leadership roles having previously served as Executive Vice-President of Global Banking and Finance at El-Ad Group and as Senior Vice-President and Head of the Israeli Desk at Israel Discount Bank of New York.

  • Represented Israel Discount Bank in the NIS 700 million (US$195 million) acquisition financing of a 24.99% stake in Shufersal Ltd.
  • Acted as lead partner in the first public RMBS transaction in Israel.
  • Represented 8 Fig in a US$ 125 million committed line of credit facility from SVB.
  • Represented Mizrahi Tefahot Bank in the acquisition financing of a controlling stake in Keter Group Holding Ltd.
  • Advised HSBC in a multi-jurisdictional loan arrangement ($250 million) in order to finance the acquisition of a South African brewery by a consortium led by Coca Cola Israel.
