She specializes in private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity, regularly advising many Singapore and Japanese companies in cross border transactions.

Melissa also regularly advises on compliance and regulatory matters, including on employment and personal data.

• Advised the Kato Sangyo Group, a general food wholesaling company listed in Japan, on its acquisition of Singapore-based food wholesaler, Teo Soon Seng.
• Advised the Kashiwabara Group on its acquisition of VinDes Engineering Pte Ltd., a Singapore-based metal pipe scaffolding company.
• Advised the East Japan Railway Company on its acquisition of GATES PCM Construction Ltd, a Singapore-based railway construction company.
• Advised Mitsui Chemicals on its USD330 million divestment of Mitsui Phenols Singapore to INEOS.
• Advised the Toyota consortium on its acquisition of SGCM Pte. Ltd., a leading vehicle trading portal in Singapore for SGD150 million.
• Advised a Japanese listed electric devices and battery manufacturer in its divestment of its Indonesian subsidiary for approximately USD20 million.
