Mehrteab Leul Kokeb is a renowned senior law professional with almost three decades of experience with core competence in Project Finance and Corporate matters. He has assisted multiple clients developing infrastructure projects in the country which includes the government of Ethiopia, Sponsors and Lenders. Record high privatization and M&A transactions are also part of his latest credentials.

He is also well-known for his skills in providing multidimensional legal services to individual and corporate clients; proficiency in achieving excellent results in a transaction, corporate issues; and his elocution during trials. In addition, he has ample experience in managing court cases as well as dealing with contractual disputes, arbitration, unlawful competition, liquidation, and employment matters.

Currently, Mehrteab is the Managing Partner, and he is active primarily in project finance, energy, litigation & dispute resolution and corporate related matters.

• Responsible for developing a heavy industrial project where the Ethiopian government and a multinational company are partners which includes preparing project development agreement between the sponsors, term sheets for the different agreements to be signed, identification of risks and all issues related to project finance.
• Represented local construction contractors before an arbitral tribunal in their disputes with an international contractor during the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport expansion project.
• Assisted the Government of Ethiopia in hydrocarbon pipeline project signing framework agreement with the sponsors
• Actively worked in record high privatization transactions which include DIAGEO and Japanese Tobacco International deals with the Government of Ethiopia.
