Lilian has worked for over 25 years with some of the largest national and international companies in the region by assisting them in mergers, acquisitions, privatizations, financing and tax planning transactions.

She has advised international financial institutions in the structuring of loans and guarantees, as well as multinational companies.

Lilian advises companies on their corporate structures, corporate governance, as well as regulatory and restructuring issues, accompanying them in their expansion process inside and outside the country. She has advised boards in different areas, including corporate, financial and fiscal areas of practice.

She has coordinated acquisition and expansion projects in Central America and Mexico.

  • Lilian was part of the team advising Telefónica, S.A., TLK Investments, C.V. and Telefónica Centroamérica Inversiones, S.L., as selling companies, in the execution of the share purchase agreement regarding the sale of 100% of its interest in the operations in El Salvador in favour of General International Telcom Limited, a sale valued at 144 million dollars. The closing of the sale took place in January and was subject to the authorizations of the corresponding regulatory (antitrust) authority. The regulatory process and closing were also advised by the firm.
  • Lili is advicing Energía del Pacífico, Ltda. de C.V., (subsidiary of Invenergy Clean Power LLC), in the execution of a Loan Agreement with International Finance Corporation, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH and Finnish Export Credit. Arias is providing advice for the execution of the Loan Agreement and local guarantees. These financings are going to be used to develop, construct and operate a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power generation project in El Salvador with a capacity of 378MW. The project will have a total cost of US$850 million, it is the largest investment in the history of El Salvador. This achievement, combined with the fact that the project will supply around 30% of El Salvador's electricity demand.
