For more than 15 years, Jacob Schall Holberg has specialised in public law issues and has considerable experience as an advocate and with conducting legal proceedings, which is his primary area of expertise. Jacob is currently responsible for Bech-Bruun's public law dispute resolution area and the environmental and planning law areas for both the public and the private sectors.

Mainly in the public law areas, including the environmental and planning law fields, Jacob has conducted multiple legal proceedings before the District and High Courts as well as the Supreme Court, and he has worked with a wide array of regulatory aspects, including legal proceedings and consultancy on all aspects ranging from social, patient and industrial injury cases and cases on the liability in damages of public authorities for both judicial administration and administration in fact to compulsory acquisitions as well as cases on data protection, right of way, pipelines and cases in the utilities area, etc. Against this background, Jacob has accumulated considerable experience advising public clients ranging from State, regions and municipalities to public enterprises, providing a solid foundation for handling complicated negotiations.

Jacob has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court, is admitted to the New York Bar and has been appointed acting judge at the High Court of Eastern Denmark. In addition to his extensive professional experience, Jacob has substantial teaching experience and has been a tutor and external lecturer of EU law at the University of Copenhagen, and he has lectured on, for instance, administration law and the liability in damages of public authorities. Jacob also holds an LL.M. degree from Columbia University in New York, USA.
