In 2015, Adeniyi was elevated to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) (the Nigerian equivalent of a Queen’s Counsel). His areas of specialization include Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, Insolvency and Debt Recovery Banking, Real Estate, Company and Partnership Disputes.

  • Adeniyi was appointed by AMCON to act as Receiver/Manager of AeroContractors Nigeria Limited a Nigerian airline, following a debt of over Debt of N11,506,815,526.90 (Eleven Billion, Five Hundred and Six Million, Eight Hundred and Fifteen Thousand, Five Hundred and Twenty Six Naira, Ninety Kobo).
  • As Receiver/Manager of Aero, Adeniyi has with the support of a professional management and technical team, managed the airline and dealt with various issues ranging from regulatory issues of licensing and permits, technical issues of contract negotiation with aircraft lessors, charterers and employees/labour unions as well as suppliers of consumables and other trade creditors.
  • He acts as Counsel to the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), in its capacity as creditor in various disputes against delinquent debtors.
  • Adeniyi acted as Counsel to a majority shareholder and creditor in the liquidation of Woolworths Retail Stores Limited with respect to trade debts and a shareholder loan.
  • Advised Assets & Resources Management Limited (“ARM”) in the negotiations leading up to the acquisition of property valued at US$1,500,000 (One Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) for the development of its Fara Park Estate in Lekki, Lagos.
  • Advised Schlumberger Nigeria Limited on the acquisition of its Schlumberger Industrial Complex in Port Harcourt Nigeria valued at US$1,000,000 (One Million United States Dollars).
  • Acted as counsel to a syndicate of eight out of eleven underwriting banks in ad-hoc arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules of Arbitration (Public Offer dispute)
