Established in 2006, Indochine Counsel is a commercial law firm with over 45 lawyers and staff in two offices, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The firm positioned itself to help international investors and foreign firms navigate the legal landscape in Vietnam.  

Highlights  

Recent examples of the firm’s deal work include advising Anta Sports in their asset acquisition in Vietnam. The transaction necessitated navigating regulatory restrictions on retail operations in Vietnam, requiring innovative solutions to ensure the business model complied with local laws.  

The firm also advised SUN, a leading rooftop solar provider in Vietnam, in drafting a comprehensive and robust template power purchase agreement to serve as the foundation for its expanding project portfolio. The challenge was to create a forward-looking and legally sound document that not only complied with current regulations but also proactively mitigated risks inherent in rooftop solar projects, thereby securing the long-term viability and bankability of SUN's growing investments.
