Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is an international firm formed out of a 2012 merger of firms Herbert Smith and Freehills. The Milan office opened in 2018 and the firm has offices in 26 locations globally.   

Highlights

The Banking & Finance team assisted VTTI on the acquisition financing for the acquisition by Qatar Terminal Limited and ExxonMobil Italiana Gas S.r.l. of their respective quotas of the corporate capital Terminale GNL Adriatico S.r.l. The team acted as lead counsel and the transaction closed in December 2024. 

In Project Finance, the firm assisted an international fund, through its infrastructure investment fund Bestinver Infra II, in reaching an agreement to invest, alongside Macquarie Capital and Tages Capital SGR, in EV Asset Holdings. The transaction closed in September 2024.
