Product of a 2011 joint venture between a US and a domestic firm,Duane Morris & Selvam’s Singapore office plays a key role as a hub for the international firm’s regional work.

Highlights  

The firm advisedSembcorp Utilitieson the US$250 million project financing for its gas-fired power plant in Myingyan, Myanmar. This landmark project is the country's first internationally competitively tendered power project and its largest gas-fired power station to date. The transaction was highly complex as it represented thefirst true project-financed BOT (build-operate-transfer) power projectin Myanmar.  

The firm also represented Ecuadorian business Santa Priscila, one of the world's largest shrimp farming companies, in its landmark corporate restructuring and the US$360 million sale of a 20% stake to the Japanese corporate group Mitsui & Co. This transaction stands as one of the largest M&A deals in Ecuador's history, demonstrating the firm’s capability in executing high-value, cross-border investments in complex jurisdictions.
