In banking, the firm took on a mix of lender and borrower side roles on a host of financing mandates. An eye-catching mandate in the financial services regulatory space saw the firm advise an international client on its successful application for a digital banking license.
On the capital markets front, the firm acted for financial institutions in Singapore Airlines’ landmark rights issue. This marked the first issue of mandatory convertible bonds by a Singaporean issuer.
The corporate team continued to act on significant matters in the real estate space. Highlights include advising the manager of CapitaLand Commercial Trust in the merger of CapitaLand Commercial Trust and CapitaLand Mall Trust. Another highlight saw the firm advise Frasers Commercial Asset Management on the Merger of Frasers Logistics & Industrial Trust and Frasers Commercial Trust.
A cross border projects mandate saw the firm act for a public transport service provider on the development of the Singapore-Johor Bahru Rapid Transit Link.
The restructuring team impressed with roles for the creditors in the debt restructuring of Hin Leong Group and for Pacific International Lines as the debtors in its high-value debt restructuring.
