Laura Holtham leads the Ireland banking and finance practice, with Dominic Conlon as head of corporate. In October 2023, the office made a decisive step forward, launching a dedicated funds team under the helm of new hire Oisin McClenaghan. 

Highlights 

Ogier Ireland is focused on banking, M&A and investment funds. The team has been active advising on a range of matters including fund structuring, public and private M&A and a wide range of financings. Recent highlights include working with global counsel to help Wildstone secure a $442 million infrastructure refinancing from a large group of global banks. The team was led by Holtham and the deal represented Wildstone's first ever syndicated financing.  

Combining its finance and M&A expertise, the firm advised Thorntons Recycling in securing financing for and successfully navigating a highly competitive bid to acquire Irish waste collection, processing and recovery business The Bin City Co (Carducci Group). 

In the M&A market, a team led by partners Dominic Conlon and Edon Byrnes worked alongside global counsel to advise Chiesi Farmaceutici on its $1.48 billion acquisition of Ireland-based commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company Amryt Pharma. 

Meanwhile among its funds work, the firm has been supporting clients such as TRIREC Fund Management in relation to EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
