Financial and corporate

Established by Mark Fraser in 2004, full-service commercial law firm Frasers Law Company was the first law firm to receive a foreign law company license in Vietnam. The firm has established itself as a highly regarded firm in Vietnam. It maintains offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The firm’s breadth of work includes banking and finance, capital markets and corporate and M&A.

Highlights

Projects highlights include advising the lenders Asian Development Bank, in relation to the project financing of the Monsoon Wind Power Project.  The Project entails the construction and operation of a 600-megawatt (MW) wind farm, battery energy storage system and associated substation and 22-km transmission line located in Sekong and Attapeu provinces of Lao PDR. Since the only offtaker in such project is Vietnam Electricity, a state-owned company in Vietnam, this transaction has a lot of issues relating to bankability arising from such offtakers which the firm are mainly in charge of.
