The firm was active in banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and projects.
During the research period, the banking and finance team represented borrowers and lender in loans and credit financings and syndicated financings. The team was especially active in the aviation sector, as well as other project sector financings.
Capital markets work focused on cross border debt transactions, including sovereign debt, and dual-tranche offerings. The team also advised on the first Colombian IPO in nearly a decade as well as a complex dividend securitisation.
The M&A team advised on some of the largest and most innovative deals of the year for Colombia.
The projects team continued to work on jurisdiction leading concessions in terms of size and uniqueness. Sectors included transportation infrastructure, power, sanitation and renewable energy.
In terms of lateral moves, the firm hired banking and finance partner Felipe Alarcón and banking and finance partner María Fernanda Diago from Baker McKenzie in January 2021. Manuel Fernando Quinche left the firm for Cuatrecasas in November 2020.
