Founded in El Salvador,
Arias has since expanded and added locations throughout Central America. The firm currently has offices in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The Honduras office opened in 2002 and has two locations, in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Evangelina Lardizábal is the managing partner of the firm’s Honduras offices. As far as legal networks, the firm is a member of IBA, World Law Group and PRAC.
Highlights
Over the research period, the firm was active in project financing. In one example, it was local counsel on a cross-border project financing via a syndicated term loan facility designated to ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE HONDURAS. The firm advised Natixis as creditor in this transaction.
The firm also advised Inter-American Investment Corporation as lender in relation to a loan granted to CMI Alimentos. The firm was lead counsel on this cross-border financing.
