TBG $900 million acquisition of Telvent DTN

Overview:

• Swiss private equity group TBG has acquired Telvent DTN from French company Schneider Electric in a $900 million deal.
• Telvent DTN is a US-based subscription information service.
• DTN was a part of Telvent, which was acquired by Schneider for €1.4 billion in 2011.
• Schneider intends to use the sale's proceeds on a €1 billion share buyback program.
