Overview:

  • Nebras Power has acquired a 35.5% stake in Paiton Energy from Engie, a French utility company.
  • Engie currently has a 40.5% stake in Nebras Power, with the remainder held by Mitsui, Tokyo Electric Power and Indonesia's Batu Hitam.
  • Paiton has over 2000MW installed capacity, representing 4% of Indonesia's installed capacity and is Indonesia's largest independent power producer.
  • Nebras Power was founded in 2014 by Qatar as a $1 billion investment arm to add foreign power and water assets. 60% of the company is owned by Qatar Electricity and Water, with the remaining stakes held by Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Holding.
