Inpex acquires stake in Sarulla Geothermal Power Project

• Japanese oil company Inpex has acquired a stake in the Sarulla Geothermal Power Project in Indonesia.
• The company has acquired a 37.2% interest by acquiring a 49% stake in shareholder Medco Power Indonesia.
• The project is operated by Sarulla Operations and is the largest single-contract geothermal power project in the world.
• Kyushu Electric, Itochu and Ormat Technologies are also stakeholders in the project.
