Zambia Sugar $120 million financing

Overview:

• Zambia Sugar Facility secured $120 million of financing,
• Standard Bank of South Africa, Barclays Bank Zambia, ABSA CACIB and Stanbic Bank Zambia acted as arrangers. 
• Zambia Sugar Facility is a Mazabuka, Southern Province, Zambia-based sugar producer. 
• The initial loan was restructured in 2016, and made further complicated by a shortage in local currency which meant the facility was made available in both Kwacha and US Dollars.
