Overview:

  • A syndicate of banks granted a $355 million dual tranche term loan to CfC Stanbic, a Kenyan financial services institution. 
  • Emirates NBD Capital Limited acted as co-ordinator, initial mandated lead Arranger and bookrunner. 
  • Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Commercial Bank of Qatar, Mizuho Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank acted as mandated lead arrangers.
  • AfrAsia Bank, Al Khaliji France and Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft acted as lead arrangers.
  • Doha Bank acted as arranger. 
  • The first tranche was for $155 million, and the second for $200 million. 
  • The financing was oversubscribed, and will be used for general corporate purposes.
