Overview:

  • Russian potash fertiliser producer and exporter Uralkali secured a $530 million pre-export finance facility with a syndicate of eight international banks, with an option to extend it to $800 million.
  • The bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers of the facility were ING Bank, Natixis, Nordea Bank, Rosbank, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, Commerzbank, IKB, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and China Construction Bank.
  • On 1 June 2015 the company signed an increase confirmation with Bank of China for $100 million.
  • On 9 June 2015 the company signed a further increase confirmation with Rosbank for $25 million, bringing the total facility up to $655 million, leaving an additional $145 million available.
  • The loan facility will be used for general corporate purposes and to refinance Uralkali’s existing loans.
