Arab Republic of Egypt $1.5 billion note issue

Overview:

• The Arab Republic of Egypt issued $1.5 billion of notes in the international markets, the first issue from its $10 billion global MTN programme that was established at the same time.
• BNP Paribas, Citi, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Natixis acted as joint lead managers. 
• NBAD and National Bank of Egypt acted as co-managers. 
• This marked a return to the global capital markets for the country after a five-year drought.
