Overview:

  • Global trader Castleton Commodities International has acquired $1 billion of assets from Texas-based Anadarko Petroleum.
  • The purchase consists of Carthage upstream and midstream assets from the Hanyesville Shale located in East Texas.
  • The deal follows an acquisition of assets in the Gulf of Mexico by Anadarko a couple of months ago.
  • Castleton now owns more than 160,000 acres leasehold in East Texas.
