Overview:

  • Bank of Cyprus has announced its intention to list on the LSE.
  • The deal would value the company at £2.5 billion.
  • The bank will maintain its listing on the Cyprus Stock Exchange but will de-list from the Athens Exchange.
  • The deal comes as Bank of Cyprus has repaid all bar £800 million of the €11.4 billion it received in emergency financial aid in 2013.
