Overview:

  • US private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners has acquired foot care products brand Dr Scholl's in a $585 million deal. 
  • Dr Scholl's was sold by German pharmaceutical company Bayer. 
  • Bayer also sold sun care brand Coppertone in May 2019. 
  • Citi and Sawaya Partners acted as financial advisers for Bayer. 
  • The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019.
