KKR acquisition of minority stake in India Grid Trust

Overview:

• Global investment firm KKR & Co has acquired a 40% stake in Sterlite Power Transmission sponsored infrastructure investment trust, India Grid Trust. 
• KKR acquired a controlling stake in the investment manager to the Trust, Sterlite Investment Managers.
• India Grid Trust acquired Sterlite Grid 2 and Sterlite Grid 3 from the Sterlite group  
• The aggregate investment amounted to approximately $876.7 million.
