DS Smith £1.5 billion acquisition of Europac

Overview:

• DS Smith has acquired Papeles y Cartones de Europa (Europac), a Spanish based integrated packaging business.
• The acquisition will be structured by way of voluntary cash tender offer for the entire share capital of Europac, listed on the stock markets of Madrid and Barcelona. 
• DS Smith will finance the acquisition from a rights issue and a debt facility of €740 million.
