Overview:

IHS Markit has acquired software company Ipreo in a $1.855 billion deal.
Ipreo was sold by Blackstone and the Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division.
IHS is based in London and was formed by a 2016 merger.
Barclays and HSBC acted as financial advisers for IHS.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2018.
