Overview:

  • Czech private equity house PPF Group has reached an agreement to acquire the CEE business of Norwegian telecoms company, Telenor, for €2.8 billion. 
  • Telenor’s CEE assets comprise its mobile phone operations in Hungary, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and Serbia, and another subsidiary Telenor Common Operation.
  • PPF borrowed €3.05 billion from a syndicate of banks led by Societe Generale to finance the deal.
