• SMC Global Power Holdings $1.05 billion acquisition of AES Corporation's stake in the Masinloc power plant.
• AES has sold its entire stake in the power plant, aggregating to 51%.
• The power plant includes a 630MW Masinloc coal-fired power plant in operation, a 335MW Masinloc 2 coal-fired power plant under construction and the 10MW Masinloc energy storage project in operation. 
• The plant has been expanded in 2015.
