FrieslandCampina joint venture with Huishan Dairy

Overview:

• FrieslandCampina has entered into a joint venture in China with Huishan Dairy.
• The venture will go under the name Friesland Huishan Dairy and will operate Huishan Dairy's Xuishui plant.
• The deal will see FrieslandCampina paying Rmb692 million to Huishan to buy into the venture and agreeing to purchase shares in Huishan Dairy at a future date.
• De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Jincheng Tongda & Neal and Slaughter and May advised FrieslandCampina.
• Reed Smith acted for Huishan Dairy.
