Jarden Corporation, a consumer products company has acquired Waddington Group, a manufacturer and marketer of disposable tableware, for $135 million from an investment fund managed by private equity firm Olympus Partners and other stockholders.
The transaction was valued at $1.35 billion.
Jarden obtained $900 million in financing (which included a $300 million ad-on to its B-1 facility and a $600 million B-2 credit facility) to finance the acquisition.
Barclays Bank acted as administrative agent for the financing.
Barclays Bank, Credit Suisse Securities and UBS Securities acted as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners.
The company also issued stock to finance the acquisition.
