Overview:

  • Jarden Corporation, a consumer products company has acquired Waddington Group, a manufacturer and marketer of disposable tableware, for $135 million from an investment fund managed by private equity firm Olympus Partners and other stockholders.
  • The transaction was valued at $1.35 billion.
  • Jarden obtained $900 million in financing (which included a $300 million ad-on to its B-1 facility and a $600 million B-2 credit facility) to finance the acquisition.
  • Barclays Bank acted as administrative agent for the financing. 
  • Barclays Bank, Credit Suisse Securities and UBS Securities acted as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners. 
  • The company also issued stock to finance the acquisition.
