Overview:

  • E.I. du Pont de Nemours (DuPont) and Dow Chemical merged in a transaction valued at $130 billion.
  • This was an all-stock merger. 
  • Klein and Company, Lazard and Morgan Stanley acted as Dow’s financial advisors.
  • Evercore and Goldman Sachs acted as DuPont’s financial advisors.  
  • The companies announced this transaction December 2015 and completed the transaction August 2017. 
  • The individual companies were both listed on the New York Stock Exchange but stopped trading August 31, 2017. After the closing of the transaction, DowDuPont began trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
