China Minsheng Investment in Emerson Pacific

Overview:

• China Minsheng Investment, the largest private investment corporation in China, has invested W180 billion ($160 million) in Emerson Pacific. 
• Emerson Pacific, a golf and resort operator widely known for its Ananti chain of resorts, hopes that the pan-global business networks of CM International Capital—China Minsheng Investment's affiliate—in ten countries will bring the company more opportunities to expand its global footprint.
• The investment is the largest Chinese investment into a Korean listed company, not targeting acquisition of the firm's managerial rights.
