Medco Energi $2.5 billion acquisition of Amman Mineral

Overview:

• Medco Energi has acquired 82.2% of Amman Mineral for $2.5 billion.
• The transaction will be one of the largest in the relevant mineral space and will represent a significant expansion of the listed Indonesian Group’s business.
• AMI recently acquired Newmont from Newmont Mining Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation.
• Medco Energi has now acquired AMI, taking control of the Batu Hijau mine.
